Wedding & Event Frequently Asked Questions
-
We offer a range packages designed to meet your needs, from full service planning to event management (day-of coordination).
-
For our full service couples, we are your "Island Concierges" from day one, managing your budget, venue tours, vendor sourcing and full design.
For our event management or day-of couples, you do the planning and we do the heavy lifting. We step in 6 weeks before the wedding to finalize timelines, manage vendor arrivals, and run the rehearsal and wedding day.
-
Island weddings have unique logistical hurdles, including the Washington State Ferry and limited vendor availability. We know the ferry release schedules by heart, we have a network of local vendors who don't charge travel fees, and we know which venues suit your needs best.
-
Yes, for our Full-Service clients, we manage the room blocks and the travel logistics for your guests. We also offer this as an add-on service for our event management and partial planning couples.
-
Of course! While we love our Orcas vendors, we are happy to coordinate with any vendor you love. We simply handle the extra communication required to get them and their equipment onto the island on time.
-
Collaborative, honest, and straightforward. We're here to guide the process, bring ideas to the table, and keep things moving. We focus on the details that set your day apart for our couple and their guests. Hospitality is what makes us different.
Proposal & Elopement Frequently Asked Questions
-
Our base elopement package (starting at $1,500) is designed to be "all-inclusive" for the couple. It typically includes:
• A licensed Wedding Officiant.
• A two night stay in a waterview room at the Landmark Inn.
• A bridal bouquet featuring local Orcas blooms.
• An intimate, styled Picnicscape for two with a cheese grazing board.
• Day-of coordination to ensure your timeline stays on track.
-
Absolutely! Our elopement packages are designed for the couple, but we can easily scale up the seating and decor for a micro-wedding of up to 15–20 guests.
-
Washington State requires a 3-day waiting period. You can apply by mail through San Juan County or in person at the Auditor’s office in Friday Harbor. We provide a step-by-step checklist for this once you book with us!
-
We offer two proposal packages, or you are welcome to customize your own, based on your interests!
-
Orcas Island is your oyster! Popular spots include the bluffs of Obstruction Pass, the shores of Cascade Lake, or even your own vacation rental backyard. If you don't have a spot in mind, we can recommend locations based on the vibe you want.
-
We do provide an artisan cheeseboard in our designed packages but can easily add them on to a customized package. We have also worked with local vendors to add cakes, cookies and other treats to make your elopement or proposal feel unique to you!
Picnic & Tablescape Frequently Asked Questions
-
It is our signature luxury dining experience. Unlike a traditional picnic, we provide low-profile wooden tables, high-end linens, plush floor cushions, and curated tabletop décor. We handle the delivery, full decor setup, and the breakdown, so you just show up to a gorgeous scene.

In the PNW, we always have a backup plan. We can move your setup to a covered tent, or an indoor space, or, if our schedule allows, reschedule to a clearer window. We’ll touch base 24 hours before your event to make the call.
-
A tablescape is for the host who has everything under control…except decor. We provide all tableware and decorations that matches the theme of your event. Whether for a small dinner party for friends or a larger event like a baby shower, we are happy to create gorgeous tables!
-
We love client input on colors, location and the overall vibe of the day. However, we are not always able to source exact products such as flowers, due to island availability.
-
Our standard setups are decor-focused, but we love to coordinate with local island partners! We can add on artisan charcuterie boards from The Goat & Co. or coordinate with local restaurants for takeout meals.
